Buffalo Phili Cheese Turkey Sandwich

This is the best of multiple worlds blended like the crossroads of America. It will be a repeat family menu item.

I’m still working on the sandwich form (recently I made piadina to see how that would work) but it really does not matter. That’s not due to our new homebound reality. it’s simply because if you like Frank’s hot sauce this will tickle your tonsils. Period.

 Ingredients:

1 ½ pounds ground turkey, close to room temp

½ sliced medium onion, or 1 small

½ sliced bell pepper

Butter

Frank’s hot sauce

Shredded cheese of choice

Flour tortillas

Slice & sauté half an onion in a spritz of oil over medium heat. Salt, or not.  Add sliced bell pepper. Cook until soft. Remove from skillet. Brown pounds ground turkey, or chicken, or beef. Seriously whatever you have. Or chicken tenders would work. Melt ¼ cup butter. Blend with equal parts Franks hot sauce. Stir into meat. (You might save a little for dipping.) Either blend the veggies and a good wallop of shredded, meltable cheese in the pan before piling onto tortilla, or layer all three ingredients. Fold and grill both side in a skillet. Eat
